This is the first class of a year+ long series, devoted to learning about the feet and accessories that come with all of our machines, regardless of brand or age. Over the course of several months we will be constructing a resource binder with pages of instruction, samples, and suggestions. In addition, we’ll explore several techniques and may even make a small stitch-out or two! We’ll be learning about different needles, threads, and other notions, and learn to clean our machines the RIGHT way, from the repair staff at SMP. You can select to take each class as a stand-alone, or come each month for a totally different set of sewing machine experiences. This series is for ALL levels of sewist, from beginner to advanced. Classes do NOT need to be taken in consecutive order.
For this month’s class only, you will NOT need your sewing machine or any notions. We’re going to go over the pages of the binder you will eventually compile. This class has been requested to allow current students to make sure their binder is complete and in order. Current students suggested that beginning students would benefit by being able to get their binders ready before beginning the classes, making sure everything is in chronological order as new classes are offered.
