This is an In-Person class. Please arrive 10min early to set up your machine.
Join Candace and Marina for our very first Serger Club Project making this functional and vinyl zipper bag. Easily store and see your notions and more in this cute bag!!! Perfect for organizing your craft, sewing and quilting accessories.
We will use the sewing machine to attach the zipper (can use the cording foot to put in a small teeth zipper)
Items to bring to class:
- Serger with pedal and power cord and accessories
- Needle: Microtex 80/12 or 90/14
- Thread: Coordinating thread- FOUR Spool
- Clear foot
- Optional Teflon Foot
- Cording Foot
- Ruffling foot
- Fabric:
- FOUR Fat Quarter pieces
- Clear Vinyl 14’x14”
- Zipper 14” minimum (plastic or nylon zipper)
- SF101 Pellon Interfacing
- DecoMagic Interfacing or Ultra Firm Interfacing by Pellon or Bosal In-R-foam for stability
- 1/2 yard cotton fabric for binding 2" to 2 1/2 " wide (Optional)1/2 yard quilting cotton to make your own Bias Binding
- Wonder Tape to help attach a zipper in place
- Sewing Notions such as fabric scissors, tweezers, extra needles, etc.
- Rotary cutter, mat and ruler (6x12 or larger)
- Other items: Pressing Cloth, Iron, and ironing mat.

COVID-19 PRECAUTIONS: Please be aware that AVS wants to keep our staff and students healthy. During this time, AVS will not be supplying classrooms with cutting mats, rulers, irons, ironing boards or rotary cutters. Please bring your own. All machines, tables and chairs will be sanitized BEFORE and AFTER each class. We ask that you sanitize your hands often, practice social distancing and wear a mask. Thank you!

CLASS REGISTRATION PROCEDURES
You can register for any class in the store. If you are paying by credit card, you can register by mail or phone (619-225-2739, 760-739-8222 or 800-401-8151). For a free class, you can send an e-mail to pos2@sewingmachinesplus.com. Please include your name, address, phone number, the name of the class and the time and date. The registration fee must be received to reserve your space. Most classes have a minimum number of students to run. If we do not meet the minimum of students three (3) days prior to the class, we will notify you that the class is cancelled. If your class is not held for any reason, you may transfer to another class or receive a refund. You may cancel for a full refund up to four days prior to the class. No refunds can be given within three days prior to the class.
