MB Beginning Serger Garments w/Candace: Harper Cardigan
You have a serger and perhaps a cover-stitch machine. Now what? Join Candace each month to learn tips and techniques for using your serger to make basic knit garments. We will select a different garment each month and utilize time-saving techniques to make serging easy and fun. This class is designed for the beginning serger but everyone is welcome to join in this fun social serging class.
Fabric suggestions include: Stretch fabric with at least 50% horizontal stretch. Medium weight Knits with good drape such as: Sweater Knits, Hacci, Light Weight Sherpa, French Terry, Cotton Lycra, Jersey, Cotton Interlock, and Velvets. Yardage: Depending on the length and size of your Cardigan you will need 2 to 3 yards. You can also use contrasting fabrics for the bands and pockets. **Please only select patterns from this list. You will have the confidence to sew other patterns at home. Print your pattern: Print your pattern on your home printer or send the AO file to www.pdfplotting.com to have it printed on large paper. (contact me with questions) https://newhorizonsdesigns.com/new-horizons-patterns-101/This file gives you general information on printing PDF patterns and printing optional “layers”. Make sure your printer is set to “Actual Size”
