Scan N Cut #5 - Cutting HTV (Heat Transfer Vinyl) - San Marcos
Are you a Brother ScanNCut machine owner, but don't feel that you are getting the most out of your machine as you lack the confidence or the knowledge to use it? Then this class is for you!
We are going to discover how to cut HTV ( heat transfer vinyl), using the ScanNCut machine.
We will use a file from our machine pattern collection to make a sample, but you may bring your own file to test it during the class. Your file must be saved on your USB drive as an SVG File. Please make sure you use this format.
This class continues our Intermediate Users Series (Three classes total) and we will be using these techniques for sure (!) in our next classes.
Part 1: learning about machine setting for HTV material.
Part 2: actual cutting. We will be cutting iron-on vinyl, so please, bring your ScanNCut class binder. We will be adding new notes on machine settings.
It is a good class to start developing your knowledge about the “ScanNCut- Heat Transfer Vinyl” relationship and so you will feel more comfortable during the next classes.
Bring the following supplies to class:
- Scan N Cut machine
- Standard Cutting Mat
- Low tack cutting mat
- Heat Transfer Vinyl -color of your choice.
- Fabric or project piece, where you want to apply the vinyl design.
- Machine accessories such as Spatula and Brier, etc.
Please call before the class if you have questions about your machine.
Message from Instructor: It’s me, Marina
Well Ladies, this time we are going to learn how to set up our machine to cut an HTV material.
it’s a very informative class, but I will try to make it easy and FUN! Promise!
We will be laughing and generally having fun learning such a great machine!
We are not going to make any finished project this time, but we will create good samples AND NOTES for your future use. The main purpose of this class is to learn and practice the correct machine settings, so you won’t need to spend a long time looking online for help. Let’s spend time on actual creating/sewing instead! But before that, you need to learn the basics:))
So, let’s go and learn the basics with me!
If you have any questions, please contact me))
