You have a serger and perhaps a cover-stitch machine.  Now what? Join Candace to learn tips and techniques for using your serger and cover-stitch machine to make basic knit garments and home decor projects. 

• This month we will be using our Serger and CoverStitch machine to create this unique Serger Pouch which showcases various decorative serger overlock stitches and features a no-sew zipper technique!  Our Serger Techniques Pouch is a great serging project for beginner sewers and seasoned sewists, alike! Approximate finished measurements: 12-1/2in W x 10in H x 2-3/4in D

• • **THIS IS NOT A BEGINNER CLASS. THIS IS AN INTERMEDIATE/ADVANCED SERGER PROJECT. YOU MUST ALREADY KNOW HOW TO USE YOUR MACHINES INCLUDING CHANGING THREADS, WORKING WITH DECORATIVE THREADS, AND CONVERTING YOUR COMBINATION MACHINE FROM SERGER TO COVER STITCH AND BACK. IF YOU HAVE NOT USED YOUR SERGER IN A WHILE, CONSIDER TAKING THE NEW OWNERS CLASS AS A REFRESHER.

** You will need a larger table Cover-hem machine such as a Triumph, Euphoria, Ovation, L890, or Janome. This project is not recommended for the Evolution or Accolade combination machine. (If you do not have a large table Cover Stitch machine, please let the retail staff know as we have a few open box large table cover hem machines you can borrow) 

Learn six serger overlock stitches while completing the Serger Techniques Pouch:
4-thread Overlock,
3-thread narrow seam,
Flatlock,
Chainstitch,
Narrow cover stitch 
Wide cover stitch.
