Does your child show an interest in learning to sew? Has your child wanted to know how a sewing machine works? In this class, children will learn how to wind a bobbin, thread their machine, and learn how to stitch fun projects!   Parents are welcome to stay.
This month we will make 2 fun projects: a Reindeer or Snowman and a Reversible Placemat

 
Bring the following supplies to class:

Basic Supplies to bring to each class.                           
Sewing Machine with pedal & plug.                              
Straight pins &pin cushion.                                         
Seam Guage Ruler.                                                   
Fabric marker or chalk
Scissors
Thread to match fabric color.                         
Seam ripper.                                    

 
Reversible Placemats. 

1/2 yards of 2 coordinating fabrics

1/2 yard fusible batting 

1  yard rick rack or trim 

 Interfacing                

Reindeer or Snowman

1/2 yard background for fabric 

1/4 yard brown fabric for reindeer or white for snowman

1/4 yard fabric for shirt & ears for reindeer or 1/4 yard fabric for hat & mittens for snowman 

1/4 yard or fat quarter 18”x22” pre-cut fabric for nose for reindeer

or for snowman’s hat trim and bow tie

2 large black buttons for eyes for each

5 small black buttons for snowman’s mouth

1/4 yard or fat quarter orange fabric for snowman’s nose

If desired 1/4 yard or fat quarter for holly leaves & 3 red buttons
