Does your child show an interest in learning to sew? Has your child wanted to know how a sewing machine works? In this class, children will learn how to wind a bobbin, thread their machine, and learn how to stitch fun projects!   Parents are welcome to stay.
We will make 2 projects in this class. A basic costume front & back that can be turned into a superhero, princess, ghost, pumpkin or monster faces or emblems. Then we will also make a Trick or Treat Bag just in time for Halloween.

Bring the following supplies to class:

Costume class

 1 yard of 72” felt for base of costume 

1/2 yard of felt for appliqué designs in a variety of colors (Batman -yellow, spider man blue and black, princess - gold etc)

Thread to match fabric colors

Notions such as measuring tape, straight pins, fabric marker, scissors, seam ripper, etc

Sewing machine with extra bobbins, sewing machine needles size 70, plug, pedal, etc

Trick or Treat Bag

 1/2 yard outer bag fabric (choose fun Halloween fabric)

1/2 yard inner lining fabric 

1 yard Fusible interfacing 

1 1/ 2 yards of strapping or webbing 

Thread to match fabric
