Join Donna monthly for 9 sessions to put together this unique paper pieced quilt. "My Kinda Town" quilt pattern designed by Peggy Larsen for Fiberworks features 8 whimsical paper pieced blocks in a quaint town setting! Pattern include complete instructions for the quilt and full sized patterns. Size 42 x 54.
This first class is a preparatory class that sets you up for the remaining 9 Classes. There will be 8 Block Classes followed by a 9th class to help you put it all together. Donna will help you pick fabric, prepare the pattern, and teach you art of paper piecing before you get started on the first block.

Quilt Requirements:
- "My Kinda Town" pattern (can be purchased with class)
- Total of 2.5 yards of background fabrics
- Small pieces of a good selection of fabrics for houses, trees, grass, roofs, sidewalks, and signs
- Assorted leftover scraps of fabrics from the quilt for pieced border, or 2/3 yard of 1 fabric
- Binding 1/4 yard
- Backing 1-2/3 yards
- Pattern to review
- Paper and Pencil
- Fabric is Optional for the first class as Donna will help you pick it out if desired.
- Sewing machine in good working order, power cord, foot controller, etc.
- Add a Quarter ruler
- Fabric Glue - Sewline is recommended. Be sure it is fabric glue that is water soluble
- 50 wt 100% thread for piecing.
- Pins - Flower Pins with a flat head are recommended
- Rotary cutter with a new blade. 28 mm size is recommended.
- Rotary mat
- 6 x 12 ruler
- Small scissors
- Shears are optional
- Plastic sandwich bags to organize your project
- Tape

Requirements:
CLASS REGISTRATION PROCEDURES; You can register for any class in the store. If you are paying by credit card, you can register by mail or phone (760-739-8222 or 800-401-8151). The registration fee for the class must be received to reserve your space. Most classes have a minimum number of students to run. If we do not meet the minimum number of students for the class three (3) days prior to the class, we will notify you that the class is cancelled. If your class is not held for any reason, you may transfer to another class or receive a refund. You may cancel for a full refund up to four days prior to the class. No refunds can be given within three days prior to a class.
