In-Person Class - Please arrive 10min early to set up
Join Candace for this month's POM (Project of the month) Each project is to help you master your serger and cover-stitch machine. 
 
Don't be afraid of bottoms!! Knit options are easy, quick, and require minimal fitting.  This will be a 2 part class. In the first class, we will talk about the pattern, take measurements, copy and edit our pattern and cut out the fabric.
In the second class, we will sew it up.

PATTERN:

• Urban Pants Collection: 3 pant styles: tapered, flared, wide-leg, yoga-style waistband, and pocket options 
• Sashay Shorts - 3 different levels of flair, customize the length, pocket options
• Palazzo Pants- fitted waist then dramatic flair, several lengths, waistbands, pockets to choose from

• Print your pattern: Print the US Letter pattern file on your home printer. Read the pattern Tutorial for how to put the pattern pages together and which pages to print. Set your printer to “Actual Size” or “100%” scaling when printing.
• OR have it printed on large-scale paper online at www.pdfplotting.com (Upload the AO file) or at your local printer (check for pricing) 

FABRIC: 4-way stretch knit fabric. We love fabrics from www.SoSewEnglishFabrics.com

Bring the following supplies to class:

• Pattern cut out and ready to sew. (If you need additional help, bring your pattern and fabric and we will cut fabric in class)
• Serger with power supply and foot pedal and threading chart
• 4 spools of serger thread to complement your fabric choice (threads do not have to be the same colors but should complement your fabric)
• Serger Feet: Standard Foot or Clear foot or Open-Toe Foot or Teflon Foot
• Needles: ELx705 needles or Jersey/Ballpoint needles size 80/12 or 90/14
• Optional: Cover Stitch Machine for topstitching and hemming
• Sewing notions for cutting, marking, and pinning fabric (Clover Clips recommended instead of pins). Double-eye needle, tweezers, scissors, fabric glue. 

Optional: Cover Stitch Machine for topstitching and hemming
SewKeys-E double-sided fusible tape (green package) ½ or ¼ inch to fuse hems and sleeves in place before cover stitching
