So you took the basic New Owners Serger Class, Now join Candace for this 3-part Beyond the Basics Techniques Class and increase your serger knowledge. ** This class is designed for sergers that have these specific feet such as Babylock, Juki, Bernina machines **
Class #2 we will learn all about the following techniques and work with the following serger feet.
- How to create Gathers and Ruffles and working with Differential Feed
- Creating Piping and using the Cording/piping foot to install a zipper
- Installing Elastic using the Elastic guide
- Doing Blind Hems on a serger
Supplies to bring:

Serger with power cord, foot pedal, and 4 spools of threads (they do not have to match)

- Sewing notions: Tweezers, scissors, ruler, Fabric Glue, Double Eye needle, clips
- Fabric: several cotton fat quarters to practice these techniques
- 9 to 14" zipper (no metal zippers or no 5mm zipper teeth) ** SMP sales zippers that are perfect for this project
- Serger Feet:
- Ruffle/Gather Foot,
- Piping/Cording Foot
- Blind Hem Foot
- Elastic Foot
- (if you do not have these feet, you may borrow them during class)

Materials Included:
COVID-19 Guidelines: Please be aware that SMP wants to keep our staff and students healthy. During this time, SMP will not be supplying classrooms with cutting mats, rulers, irons, ironing boards or rotary cutters so please bring your own to use during class. Current Covid guidelines for masking and social distancing for San Diego County will be observed.

CLASS REGISTRATION PROCEDURES
You can register for any class in the store. If you are paying by credit card, you can register by mail or phone (619-225-2739, 760-739-8222 or 800-401-8151). For a free class, you can send an e-mail to pos2@sewingmachinesplus.com. Please include your name, address, phone number, the name of the class and the time and date. The registration fee must be received to reserve your space. Most classes have a minimum number of students to run. If we do not meet the minimum of students three (3) days prior to the class, we will notify you that the class is cancelled. If your class is not held for any reason, you may transfer to another class or receive a refund. You may cancel for a full refund up to four days prior to the class. No refunds can be given within three days prior to the class.
