SUMMERTIME FUN PICNIC QUILT USING CUTRITE SLIT N SEW TEMPLATES

Have you ever looked at a quilt and said to yourself “I would love to make that” then realized it used curved piecing and quickly changed your mind?  Well, you no longer need to be intimidated by patterns that call for curves.  Join Kelly for this fun and informative class where she will show you how you can become skilled at making Drunkard’s Path 8” blocks using the Slit n Sew method.  By the end of this 4-hour class, you will have conquered curved piecing along with creating a great addition to your picnic must-haves, a picnic throw.  

A supply list will be provided prior to the class that will give you initial cutting instructions.  By doing this we can get right into the fun part, making those 8” Drunkard’s Path blocks.  The goal is by the end of the class you will walk out with the confidence to take on more curved blocks.

Supplies to bring to class:
1.  The CutRite Slit n Sew 8” Drunkard’s Path Template (this will be available at SMP prior to the start of the class)

2. 28 mm rotary cutter and cutting mat. (rotating mats are very helpful)  Please make sure you have a new blade in your cutter.

3. Your precut fabrics for your project (fabric kits will be available to purchase separately)

4. A stiletto.  My preference is the fingertip stiletto by Traditional Primitives.

5.  The usual suspects:  neutral thread, scissors, pins, and of course, your sewing machine, small iron, and pressing mat for pressing fabrics.
