Make - and FINISH - a rope bowl in class! 

The class will show you how to make and finish a rope bowl with or without an embroidery design.  You will also learn about fabric wrapping the cord and different ways to finish off the bowl.

SUPPLIES:

Sewing machine in good working order with power cord and foot pedal (a straight stitch machine will not work)
Zig Zag Foot

Embroidery machine - Optional if adding an embroidery design.  Bring wash away stabilizer, 9.5" x 9.5" hoop, a simple embroidery design (see photo for example), and desired colored embroidery threads.

Cotton/cotton-blend clothesline (some clotheslines re very stiff which will not work for this project) or macrame cotton thread
Thread: matching, contrast or variegated
Bobbins: 2-3 wound with the same as the top thread
Needes: 80/12, 90/14 or heavier

Elaine will do embroidery inside the bowl, but you can also leave it blank or use a circular sewing attachment for decorative stitches!
