Beginning Sewing w/Janet Flinn
This will be an ongoing monthly class for anyone interested in learning the basics of sewing. We will start with Pajamas and then move on to other sewing projects.
JANUARY CLASS - First class with start from the very beginning:

In our first class in January, we will review the pattern, discuss where to obtain it, and explore various methods for printing it out. We will also examine the markings on the pattern and their meanings.
We will:
• Take our measurements and learn how to make any adjustments to the pattern.
• Talk about any questions or concerns you may have.
• Learn how much fabric we need and discuss how to cut the fabric out.
• Cover the parts of the sewing machine and basic threading techniques.
• Discuss sewing supplies and why they are essential.
• Have a structured class with notes and video instructions.
• Each student can contact the teacher at any time with questions or concerns.
FEBRUARY CLASS - SECOND CLASS -
Now that you have learned how to cut out and made adjustments to the pattern, you will need to have the Pajama pattern cut out when you come to class.
In this second class, you will start sewing the Pajama Top.

SUPPLY LIST
- Sewing Machine, cord, pedal, manual, needles, bobbins, accessories
- Tape Measurer
- Pencil or pens for taking notes
In this class, you will use your sewing machine and serger. Those without a serger will have the opportunity to see what a serger can do. No serger required.
Basic knowledge of a sewing machine is a prerequisite.

| Requirements: | You can register for any class in the store. If you are paying by credit card, you can register online, or phone (760-739-8222 or 858-225-2739). The registration fee for the class must be received to reserve your space. Most classes have a minimum number of students to run. If we do not meet the minimum number of students for the class three (3) days prior to the class, we will notify you that the class is cancelled. If your class is not held for any reason, you may transfer to another class or receive a refund. You may cancel for a full refund up to four days prior to the class. No refunds can be given within three days prior to a class. |
